From fascinating lectures showcasing the latest achievements in aesthetic medicine to unforgettable gatherings and glamorous evening parties under the stars, the 8th edition of TAMC once again lived up to its reputation as the congress everyone wants to attend. From September 25 to 27, the world's leading medical experts gathered at Dubrovnik's Valamar Lacroma Hotel to share their knowledge on key topics in aesthetic medicine - ranging from the most complex plastic surgery procedures to minimally invasive rejuvenation and appearance-enhancement techniques.
The theme of this year's TAMC (The Aesthetic Medicine Congress) was Infinity - a symbol of endless knowledge, innovation, and unity - a perfect reflection of the spirit that defined the event. Its founder, Dr. Nikola Milojević, described this edition as the best one yet.
"I have to admit, I was moved to tears at the opening by the incredible support of my colleagues. The compliments we've received from international authorities confirm that the energy of my team and myself truly reaches every participant. That's what makes this congress so special" said Dr. Milojević.
Nearly 80 international speakers took part in the congress, including Sebastian Cotofana, the world's leading anatomist in aesthetic medicine; Michael Kane, the legendary plastic surgeon and injectable expert based on New York's famous Fifth Avenue; Jonathan Sykes, a renowned surgeon and visionary beloved by his Beverly Hills clientele; dermatologist Tatjana Pavičić, a leading expert on biostimulators and polynucleotides; Tapan Patel, a global leader in dermal and laser education; and Gordan Lauc, a pioneer in longevity research. Their lectures covered topics from anatomy and complications to botulinum toxin, biostimulators, lasers, and even the future of artificial intelligence. Malaysian aesthetic physician Tingsong Lim and world-renowned Thai dermatologist and surgeon Atchima Suwanchinda also shared the latest advancements in Asian aesthetic techniques.
A highlight of the program were the "worst case" sessions, where renowned Dutch aesthetic doctor Jani Van Loghem and exceptional Moroccan plastic surgeon Nabila Azib, along with other top experts, discussed their most challenging cases - an invaluable experience especially for younger colleagues beginning their aesthetic careers. Innovation permeated every part of the program: pioneering live injection sessions with pre-recorded educational videos, inspiring lectures on artificial intelligence and robotics, longevity and marketing, and a unique incubator program for young doctors, giving them the opportunity to learn from the world's greatest mentors. Among the many excellent presentations, several were devoted to the great "renaissance" of the facelift - the surgical procedure capable of literally taking two or three decades off a face.
One of the hallmarks that sets TAMC apart from other congresses is its meticulously themed welcome parties. This year, inspired by the Infinity concept, participants enjoyed an ABBA Cocktail party, where the hits of the legendary Swedish pop group created an unforgettable atmosphere.
The congress concluded with a glamorous gala dinner, From TAMC to Eternity, held on the terrace of the Hotel President, offering a spectacular view of the Adriatic Sea. Awards were presented to outstanding aesthetic professionals and products: Dr. Ana Maria Lazar was named winner in the "Best Before & After" category, ABG Meso Eye received the title of Best Injectable Product, ZO Skin won Best Cosmetic Product, and the eCO2 Plus laser by Cynosure Lutronic was named Best Device.
Once again, TAMC proved to be a truly world-class congress - a unique combination of science, education, innovation, and unforgettable energy. Participants emphasized the extraordinary synergy of learning and fun, professionalism and friendship that could be felt throughout Dubrovnik, placing this congress among the best in the world. TAMC has secured Croatia's position as one of the key destinations on the global aesthetic medicine map.
